Finnext Capital is founded by a group of individuals passionate about design, entrepreneurship and innovation through technology. The key individuals behind the company are from various professional backgrounds ranging from investment banking to marketing to venture building.
The company acts as a conversation and networking hub; a platform for budding companies to accelerate their growth; a space to learn; build and grow via collaborations with strategic partners across the nation and regularly holds discussions with regulators in Malaysia, and beyond.
Aizat Rahim - Managing Partner
Aizat Rahim is the Managing Partner of Finnext Capital, an investment & advisory house focuses on technology companies to scale based in Malaysia. He's also the director for Worldline Group, which comprises of a few companies that cater as a wholesaling & distribution and retail businesses in Malaysia. Prior to Finnext Capital, he was one of the founding partners for Job4Locum, a medical job portal company that was acquired by MIMS and founding partner of Infinite Ventures, a venture building company that was acquired by Kern (US) Technology. With experience covering across supply-chain, SME & Tech investment, Aizat is a strong advocate of entrepreneurship by investing in a few tech companies as an Angel Investor.
Lennise Ng - Strategic Director
Lennise Ng started her entrepreneurship journey by opening a talent management company at the age of 19. She then pursued further in her studies in Melbourne while working with a local Venture Capital company called Adventure Capital; she then spearheaded the women entrepreneurship division and assisted in building the Female Founders Victoria community. Lennise was hired by YELP Inc as a Country Manager to launch YELP platform in Malaysia. Often dubbed as a startup cheerleader, Lennise is passionate about entrepreneurship & technology industry, she plays a significant role in Finnext Capital in the marketing & growth for their startups.
Atasha Alias - Business Director
Mohd Atasha Alias plays a huge role in value creation and partnership. He is an entrepreneur, industry & business adviser, Malaysia’s Startup Ecosystem Builder, Executive Producer of Social Impact Web series, ex-Foreign Direct Investment (Fortune-500 listed companies) negotiator for Malaysia. He advises business leaders on how to thrive in the digital era, how to digitally transform businesses and he connects these SMEs to business and investment opportunities. As an active Tech Startup ecosystem builder in Malaysia, Atasha also plays the bridging role to link venture capitalists to tech startups and the Government of the day.
Cheryll Wong - Operation Director
Equipped with startup experience, Cheryll Wong serves Finnext Capital by overseeing its operations and filling in the gaps when needed. She also co-founded a tech startup in the past and was one of the co-founding members of GoCar in the role of operations and business development. During her education years in Arizona State University, she was heavily involved in content creation, event planning and support as well as social marketing strategist.
Iskandar Shafi’i - Marketing Director
Iskandar is the Head of Business Development for Finnext Capital. He has been around the IT industry for 10 years in the role of Sales, Marketing & Business Development especially in Cloud Computing services, web development and data center projects. Having previously worked for RapidCloud International which was later listed on the London Stock Exchange, he had experienced working for both local and international branches operations. In the startup ecosystem, Iskandar is also a Program Manager in Accelerator Programs, working closely and accelerated over 20 startups in the Smart City sector.
Zack Ng - Investment Director
Zack Ng is the Investment Director who is also the current Director of Finnext Ventures and has invested more than 30 startups under his belt. Before he joined Finnext Ventures, he was a former Assistant Vice President of Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad. He has more than 8 years experience in investment and managing over RM 240m Assets-Under-Management (AUM) which focuses on equity, property, and structured investments.
Faeqah Rosli - Senior Programme Manager
Faeqah Rosli is a Finance & Economics graduate from the University of Northern Iowa in The United States. Previously she was with PTS Advertising Sdn Bhd in event planning and PR activities and was the Account Manager for big corporations such as TM, HBO, Astro and Maybank to name a few. Currently, she is the Senior Project Executive for Finnext Capital and her area of expertise is in program operations and event management. To date, she has been closely involved in nurturing 10 Smart City startups in an Accelerator Program in the form of in-house mentorship, lean management and managing the network of investors & mentors and ensuring they are providing value to startups.
